I really can't believe how fast time flies by and that is not comforting to those of us that are getting to the Senior Years. It's been over month since Diane left us and we still are trying to digest it all. We are really Happy for her and I'm sure we will figure out how to work around the Big Hole she left. I know this is happening in families everyday, but it doesn't make it any easier for the grieving . We will honor her by going forward and making her proud of the family she produced.
Diane's Memorial was amazing and we were so touched by the amount of family and relatives who came and payed their respects. It was just obvious how many lives she touched. She sure didn't do it by trying to draw attention to herself, or trying to get your attention by making sure everybody knew her good deeds. Those of us that were close to her know after we got to know her she was our friend for the long haul. I do know that her eyes were always open and seeing those that were in desperate situations. More times than not I got the nudge that we had to do something to help and quiet often I reluctantly would go along with it. A lot of the time I would be the one who would receive the appreciation from the benefactors of her prompting .
So many people who know Diane's life History will say that she didn't really get a break. It's hard not to wonder why one really good person would have to endure so many difficulties. There were times she would Cry and ask me and God "why" but most of the time she didn't complain or ask for pity. Her Doctors that had been with us through this Mental and Physical journey were amazed at her resilience . Even during her most desperate times, she was more worried about the affect of her illness on others than what was happening to her.
