I had to start waking Diane up around 8:30 AM this morning for her 9:30 AM doctor appointment. She slept through her Sponge Bath, Coconut Oil rub down and being dressed. She could hardly stay awake on our walk to the car and slept on the ride to doctors office. She fell back to sleep in Dr. Office and slept all way home and is still sleeping in her chair.
Less than a month ago I talked about the relief that we received from the Meds the doctor gave us to relieve her agitation. We only needed to use it a couple times and now for the last couple weeks all she wants to do is sleep. I'm talking to the doctor tomorrow and we will address the present conundrum. I don't believe the new medication caused the change, but I do wonder if this is just another step of decline with her illness. It is also a real juggling act to get her to eat, drink and take her pills. We really have to consider what really is the utmost importance.
This last weekend we had our children and their families over to just hang out, and then on Monday we took a trip to the coast to visit family. It was a wonderful time, but not with out having a little bit of guilt and sadness. Until Monday Diane had always been part of our sojourns. She stayed home with Karen while we were gone. "She was in good hands"
