Those of you have followed me on Diane's journey have commented so often that it was Raw, but described delicate circumstances with dignity . I really appreciate your observation and consider it a compliment. Diane left us yesterday and I'm sitting hear thinking about the events of the last few days. I'm sure I will write a more extensive and eloquent tribute in the future.
I'm not sitting here in anguish, but there is an awful lot of things going through my mind and I have to admit that I'm really weepy . I had decided that we were not going to have a viewing after passing and I would open up our home to those that wanted to pay their respects while she was still with us. My daughter " Leslie" and my son , daughter-in-law "Tim & Ashlee with Izzy & Judah" have spent most of their time with us since since Thursday . We put a lot of effort in preparing a room for her to spend her last days in her home. Karen Diane's caregiver had been right next to her for a lot of the last Day's. Leslie directed us in decorating her room with a beautiful feminine touch. Diane had slept in her room with me up tell a week ago, but I decided to fix up my old office especially for her. It had a window looking out side with double doors that opened to the family room and kitchen . She was always included in our activities no matter if she was awake or not. The children were comfortable being around their Grandma.
She hadn't taken water or food since last Wednesday, so we knew the time was getting short. So family and friends came and went just hanging out, with Diane always being a part of the Celebration. We laughed, Joked, Cried, and ate a lot. "Dawn" a good friend of ours brought her Keyboard and we all sang together and her husband "Wade" brought his Checkbook and ordered bunch of Chinese Food. "Very Good". In one of our quiet times our four year old Grandson " Judah" went into her room and put his hand on Diane and " Dear Jesus please heal Grandma." His brother "Israel" also would go in and pray and love his Grandma. More often than not they would be playing around her bed. Our boy "Jacob" would go see his Mommy through out the day giving her Kisses and Hugs.
Diane did manage to drag us through some trying times. I don't know how many times that she gave us the impressions that She was leaving us. We would all hold hands and pray, encourage, Cry and let her know it was OK to go home. She must have laughed a little to herself " I sure made them jump" .
I know a lot of people spend a lot of money on Funeral Expenses for burials. We chose to spend time and money on her comfort while she is still here. WHEN DIANE'S SPIRIT LEFT WITH THE ANGELS, AND DELIVERED TO JESUS, She left her beautiful, but broken body with us. I'm looking forward to seeing her completely restored version.

Warning to those in Heaven You will learn to love her.
